Take a tour of Air Turbine’s modern research and testing facility. Located adjacent to our manufacturing plant, the lab is acknowledged as one of the finest in the industry. The centerpiece of the facility is the 12-foot test chamber. Performance tests may be performed for props up to 60 inches in diameter. Inlet or outlet tests are conducted in accordance with ANSI/AMCA 210-85, figure 12 and 15, and ANSI/ASHRAE 51-1985.

In addition to accurate performance testing, we provide thorough acoustical evaluations. Lab or in-situ¹ measurements are performed using the ANSI S12-12² intensity standard. A comprehensive understanding of acoustics combined with many years serving the HVAC community results in correct and useful data. Using our fan selection software, customers can examine our sound data at any point of operation in as much detail as they need. For contract tests, we are capable of providing data in the format you require.

In order to increase the reliability of our product, we also perform vibration testing. By identifying potential resonance peaks, we can identify the safe range of operation for our props. These tests, combined with modal analysis, strain gauge testing and years of customer feedback result in a product line that you can depend on.
